"Essay of painting" -blog critique

Hello all~
I want to introudce a fantastic blog.

The blog is about “painting” and “essay”, so name of blog is “Essay of painting”.

I found this blog when I was searching about mental therapy. The first time that I wisit, I was so impressed, because I totally agree with her writing about the paintings. It is so helpful and useful to me, because it helps me look back by myself. And the paintings help for improving imagination. I think, if you are really interested in the art, you should visit this blog.

The blogger is “Hye Shin, JUNG” who is a psychiatrist , and 45-year-old women. That is the reason why she can move and heal people’s mind through her writing with paintings. Now, she is interested in relationship between paint and essay. It is the reason of she makes this blog. Actually, she does not paint, and the real painter is her husband’s friend and her neighbour.

As I mentioned above, this blog is combined art and essay or diary. She updates the essay with painting twice a week, so when she updates her post, I visit the blog.

She is very famous psychiatrist in Korea, so sometimes she writes a culmn in the newspaper. You can see what she wrote in the blog.


Her blogs’ overall colors are black and white. That is the key concept of her blog. Top of the blog’s web page, there is a banner. The banner changes four times a year (banner follows the 4 season, so according to Korea’s season, banner’s item is about summer, now). Navigation is in left side, and there are many categories. ‘ Essay of painting’, My blackboard (it is kind of free board), request the painting and mental therapy. Overall design of her blog is simple and clean. And this blog uses Korean.


This blog was published lately, around 6 months ago. However, many people visit her blog everyday. For six months, 20813 people have visited her blog, because visitors want to heal their mental through the blog. There are lots of good writing.

This blog is base on the psychology. Of coures she is the psychiatrist. Her goal is making people feel happy, comfortable and loving themselves.

People can request the essay of painting for themselves or other people ( would be friends, parents or lovers) as a gift to say thank you or sorry. Also people can ask her to listen their story or counsel her with problems. She will listen you!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME : )

Today 12.09.2007 was my birthday. Unfortunately, I had in-class assessment, in Ros class.
I don’t think so that I did good work. Maybe she doesn’t understand what I write down the paper.
Anyway, let’s forget it~

After in-class assessment, I had dinner with some of class mates for birthday party.
(Actually, all class mates said ‘Happy birthday to you’ to me.)

We went to the Korean restaurant “大長今(Dae Jang Keum)” in Townhall (Sorry, I don’t know which street it is in). We ordered lots of dishes, and we enjoyed it.

This is the birthday cake. Faye bought it for me. (Thank You, Faye!!!)
Shu Shu asked Jin about Happy birthday song in Korean. When dishes served to us, they sang the happy birthday song in Korean for me. I really impressed about it.
Ah! Last night around 1 p.m. I’ve got a call from Jin and Shulina. Honestly, I was sleeping at that time, I answered the phone. “hello?” , and then suddenly Jin and Shulina sang the birthday song. I was happy even though, I woke up from sleeping. I really thank Jin and Shulina.

Anyway, lets back to birthday party!
We enjoyed having dinner together! I didn’t took photos of all dishes, but this is one of the dishes. The picture doesn’t look yummy, but it is yummy~

Japanese Restaurant – Ramenkan

I like Japanese food very much. So Hitomi and I usually go to Japanese restaurant.
We like Menya which is locate at ground of Prince centre. However, it closes on every Tuesday, so we go to Ramenkan instead of Menya. I don’t know its address, but it is near Hay market.
Here are the photos of Ramenkan food!!

(Above) I ordered Katsudon, it was very very very yummy!!
(Down) Hitomi ordered Omulet. It looks yummy, doesn’t it?

After we finish the dishes, we also ATE ICECREAM!!!!

Mine was black sesame, and Hitomi’s was green tea ice-cream. It was really DELICIOUS.

I recommend Ramenkan, if you are interested in there, just ask me. I can tell you where it is.
I strongly recommend you “Katsudon” with ice-cream!! (Both – black sesame and green tea are good).

HIRISE and MAGIC POWER’s all work were completed last week.

I really want to thank them, because they did really good job : )
They taught me to work together. Group works… honestly, it is difficult to work together, but also it is really good. Every single person can’t live alone, we have to work together. I learnt that do my best with group members.

Faye and Jin were really good and amazing director. They led team member very well, so group members could follow and work hard. Shulina was director assistant. Actually she did many things. I was very happy work with her.

Arya and Stephanie were good camera operator. I worked with Arya in both team. She got good angle of camera, and Stephanie also studied very hard about camera work. My teams had good film, because of them.

Alieen was a presenter in MAGIC POWER, I performed in the film, and I was really enjoyed it with her. She was friendly. I think, I little close with her, because of making film.

Hitomi was absent, but she did almost things that make documents such as time code, edit script. Well done~ Hitomi!!!

NSW ART GALLERY

I went to the ‘NSW ART GALLERY’ in Michael Whittle’s class.
The art gallery is near the St. James station, but class mates and I walked to there from school.
Honestly, it was pretty far distance, but I don’t think it is far, because we were chatting while we are walking.

I was a photographer at that time. I like take photo the happy moment. Class mates looked happy, even though we have a lot of assignments, because we felt free at that moment. Everything was fun. On Monday, we were free human.

Actually, I have been the art gallery several times when I attend the Chester Hill High School for excursion of art subject. Every times that I visit, I feel that gallery is very grand.

This formative art work … honestly, I don’t know what it depicts. You can see the blood trickle from up. Actually, the blood is fake blood.

My hot chocolate and Faye’s mocha. Michael paid for all of us. THANK U MICHAEL : ) It was really yummy: )

They look like having meeting. Oh my God!! You guys discuss about group assignment?
OH PLAESE NO ASSIGNMENT!!!! (Actually, no I just kidding)

COMMUNICATE STUDENTS are always communicating each other wherever they are. It is our instinct. COMMUNICATE is our destiny?! LOL
Anyway, my class mates (including me) really like chat.

When we leave the café, a bird (looks parrot) came to us and took a sugar, and ate it.
My class mates felt surprise about that, so everyone took photo about it.

All art works were so amazing. Michael explained about feature of each art work in time order.

These potteries are in Asian art Korean section. These were in different periods; from above it comes from Shilla, Koryu and Chosun. I think the Koreas ceramic is so beautiful, and I wonder how Korean people don’t keep make the ceramic in same ways. We, Korean should keep the ways of tradition things.

Lastly~
Jin took a photo for me, when I see the painting. I really like this painting, because it is so clean, pure and simple.

I really enjoyed the gallery excursion. During the school holiday, I will visit another art gallery which is near the air port, because my friend’s work displays at there.

Anyway, I wish you (visitor of my blog) enjoyed my review of gallery excursion.

Magic Power

I also joined the 'Magic Power' Team!!
Director- Jin, Presenter- Aileen, Camera- Arya and Stephanie, and Model- Sujin.
Actually, Hitomi was sick, so she could not attend, unfortunately.

The Film magic power is about make-up and changing hair style.

As 'Hirise' team, the magic power's crews are so amazing.

I was a model in this film. It was quiet surprise experience.

My crews were working so good.

Honestly, when Jin asked me the model role, I thought it is easy duty.
However, it is also one of tuff work. Everyone could move freely, but only me!! I could not
move freely nor can smile during the make up, I just stay at the chair.
Although, it is hard for me, it is good and precious experience.

I also say thank you all crews of Magic power!!

HI RISE TEAM >_<

I would like to introduce my HIRISE team crew!!!

Director -Faye, Director assistant- Shulina, Camera operator- Arya and Ratio- Sujin!!

We took an advertisement of HI RISE DANCE CENTRE, last week.

It was really precious experience.

Honestly, taking shots, are little bit hard and tired, because all equipments were heavy. When I looked at staffs in the broadcasting station, I thought it is fun, and easier than study. But now, IT IS NOT EASY WORK!!!

Although it was tired, it was really interesting!!!

When we took the shots, we saw many different types of dance - hip-hop, Jazz and Contemporary Irish dance. It was so wonderful!!!
I want to learn contemporary Irish dance.

Anyway, the experience of HIRISE, it is so awesome!!!
